General Purpose:
Moves, positions and stacks 100 ft. foam buns according to predetermined pouring and cutting schedules.
Foam buns must be stacked evenly. Fam buns are stacked with heavier density on bottom, light density on top.
Operator must be able to see 100 ft. in distance.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Operate overhead crane by hand pendant controls at floor level.
Moving, positioning and stacking must be done in careful conscientious manner, as to not damage foam material. Stacks must be even from top to bottom.
Pendant controls the movement of- up/down, in/out, east/west on grab controls.
Crane has the ability to operate up/down in conjunction or independent on the hand pendant control. Operator has the ability to run north or south grabs in independent mode.
Ability to- read, write, count, and comprehend measurements, fractions.
Ability to comprehend and carry through both verbal and written procedures with the ability to record information accurately.
Ability to see 100’ in distance.
Ability to correctly fill out vac reports for every bun.
Ability to record all measurements of the bun at the center of the north end of the bun.
Ability to understand LOTO (lock out - tag out) and to use LOTO effectively when necessary.
Ability to perform physical labor, involving moderate work.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain a work area, in a safe manner.
Keep the work area clean and clear of scrap foam and plastic film that is removed from buns. Must clean bun ripper every time it is used.
Must communicate with Gantry Operator on buns needed for schedules, vac of long buns, buns stacked or moved around in building.
Work area must be cleaned prior to leaving at the end of shift.

Knowledge – The aptitude to operate machines
Skill – Ability to read and write, understand measurements and fractions. Must be physically able to perform manual labor.
Ability—Learn within a fast paced environment, work with other employees in a cooperative manner and handle repetitive job duties. Communicate in a positive manner with other co-workers.
Education—Formal education is not required.
Experience—Crane experience is helpful.

Working Environment
The Crane Operator is subject to inside environmental conditions throughout the shift - protection from weather conditions, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Seasonably, the employee may be subject to extreme heat- temperatures may be above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
The employee will be in and out of buildings throughout the shift. This means getting rain on/snowed on when these weather conditions are present.
The employee is subject to noise- there is sufficient noise to cause employees to shout in order to be heard above the noise level.
The employee is subject to hazards- including a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and working on high places.
Must be aware of surroundings for maintaining safety of self and others in area.
The employee is required to wear safety glasses in the plant at all times.
Physical Activities

Stooping: Continually, bending body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist, using the lower extremities and back muscles.

Lifting: Frequently, raising objects from lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position- to-position.
Grasping: Continually, applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
Talking: Frequently, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word, conveying detailed or important information or instructions to other workers accurately, loudly and quickly. Using hand held radios for communication.
Hearing/Listening: Continually, perceiving the nature of sounds. The ability to interpret oral communications.
Repetitive Motions: Continually, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, head and/or fingertips.
Physical Requirements:
Heavy Work: Exerting up to 150 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Visual Acuity:
Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision. This position requires the minimum standard involving- preparing and analyzing data and figures, visual inspections involving small defects, small parts, operations of machines (including inspections) using measurement devices, assembly or fabrications of parts and distances close to the eyes.
