About the position

We are seeking a Regional Portfolio Manager to join our leadership team. This position is responsible for the overall management of multiple properties in an Elevate portfolio.  As a member of the leadership team, this position plays a key role in developing a culture that supports our mission statement outlined above.  We are looking for someone that wants to join a great company that strives to be better than the rest. 

Responsibilities and Duties

• Reports directly to the director of property management on daily site operations of their portfolio, including, but not limited to occupancy, AR, expenses, and resident issues.
• Provide leadership that mentors and develops team members
• Conducts coaching conversations as needed to correct behaviors
• Works with direct reports to develop training and development plans for both personal growth and behavior correction
• Onboard all new employees
• Organize and facilitate ongoing education and development
• Employee engagement and recognition
• Monitors leasing activity for all properties in the portfolio and ensures leasing is performed according to company expectations
• Ensures adherence to marketing requirements (e.g. social media postings, reputation management, advertising postings, etc.) for all properties in the portfolio
• Ensures that all resident complaints, questions, and inquiries are handled in a timely and professional manner at all portfolio properties
• Ensures the unit make-ready process is executed in a timely manner and with high quality at all portfolio property
• Monitors accounts receivable, collections, and eviction processing for all portfolio properties to ensure timely and accurate processing
• Coordinates with the director of leasing and asset management team on capital requests, approves and monitors capital spending for unit flooring and appliances
•  Ensures that each property in the portfolio effectively prioritizes the maintenance schedule
• Monitors and manages the performance of vendors providing contracted services on portfolio properties, excluding asset management project work

Qualifications and Skills

• 5 years’ experience in the property management industry
• Bachelor’s Degree a plus
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proven success with individual and team development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Desire to develop and foster a strong and inclusive company culture
• Proven ability to translate strategic initiatives into manageable pieces
• Proficient in MS Office and general computer skills
