We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of:

Milling Foreman 

Summary:

The Milling Foreman supervises work crews to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Assist with hiring processes to ensure proper staffing levels, and managing employee performance.
  • Organize and coordinate the daily activities of assigned crew; provides training to crew as needed.
  • Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
  • Operate equipment, including, but not limited to, milling machines & skid steer with milling head/broom.     
  • Gather and load millings and waste products from job sites onto trucks.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials
  • Ensure equipment maintenance inspections are completed to maintain working condition of equipment.
  • Coordinate supply of materials, and ensures on-time delivery of materials to work site.
  • Perform minor servicing and maintenance on equipment; refer major problems to the shop.
  • Other duties as necessary.

 

Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • • Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving history.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience within the road construction and/or related industry preferred.
    • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in a supervisory capacity preferred. 
    • Working knowledge of road construction processes and planning. 
    • Basic knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance/preventative maintenance requirements
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
    • Must wear and maintain PPE as required by Company safety guidelines.
    • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions.
    • Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
    • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Out of town travel with overnight stays may be required.
