We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of:


Project Superintendent-Concrete



The Project Superintendent, in conjunction with the Project Manager, coordinates and supervises the construction process from the conceptual development stage, through to final construction. The Superintendent ensures that projects are completed on time and within budget.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Promotes, executes and adheres to the company’s safety program, and encourages all employees, sub-contractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
  • Reviews safe work plans/HASP with crew prior to job commencement.
  • Attends internal and external Pre-Construction Meetings to understand his/her scope of work.
  • Ensures sufficient deployment and productivity of work crews.
  • Engages in open communication with Project Managers, Operations Managers and Construction Managers and report any issues which could affect project plans.
  • Allocates resources where appropriate to achieve project safety, schedule, cost, scope and quality objectives.
  • Coordinates the supply of materials (concrete, asphalt, aggregates, underground utilities material);  ensures trucking/delivery of materials to job site.
  • Organizes and coordinates daily activities crews, subcontractors, and equipment, and ensures projects remain on time and on budget.
  • Reviews and adheres to construction schedules, ensuring milestones and completion dates are met.  Communicates any deviations to Construction Operations Manager and Project Manager.
  • Attends project site meetings.
  • Ensures underground utility locates are completed and valid.
  • Delegates tasks and accountabilities, instructs, supervises, leads and directs crew(s).
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Valid Drivers’ License and clean driving history.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience within the road construction and/or related industry.
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Knowledge of road construction methods, road construction materials and industry requirements.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
  • Out of town travel with overnight stays may be required.
  • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions.
  • Regularly required to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must wear and maintain PPE as required by Company safety guidelines.
