Inside Sales Representative

DTN, the most trusted weather source in agriculture, is looking to add proven outbound sales professionals to its producer and livestock sales team. We specialize in subscription-based services for the analysis and delivery of real time weather, agriculture and market information allowing farmers to identify market highs, manage input costs, gain higher yields and identify other operational impacts that affect their business. Essential Functions:  


• Generate new business opportunities through a variety of sales activities including cold calling, independent lead generation, prospecting, and direct presentations to achieve the required level of sales funnel activity
• Present and sell company offerings to current and potential clients
• Achieve or exceed defined sales and revenue goals
• Collaborate with fellow sales, marketing, and product management teams on various sales efforts
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from sales activity
• Attending tradeshows and networking within the Agriculture community
• Ability to travel up to 10% if needed 


Requirements: 


• 3 years outbound sales experience 
• Goal oriented, results driven with a proven track record of successful sales history
• Strong prospecting and new business generation skills is required
• Solid interpersonal, writing, presentation, and communication skills
• Ability to act independently toward achieving sales goals and objectives
• Ability to grasp new concepts, technologies, and products quickly and effectively
• Technical aptitude; adept at learning and absorbing technical product information quickly
 

Preferred: 


• Bachelors Degree
• Ag experience a plus
• Salesforce experience
