Dietician

Our Hillcrest Millard location is actively seeking a Registered Dietician to join our team. This will be a fast-paced, dynamic facility. This service line is part of the area's largest continuum provider of health care services to aging adults. Hillcrest Millard will specialize in providing around-the-clock care for short-term rehabilitation following surgery, illness or injury. Our priority is providing the best quality of care while ensuring our patients' experiences are defined as nothing short of 'awesome'.

The Registered Dietician has the responsibility to provide the necessary documentation which supports the nutritional needs of the guests/patients in accordance with state and federal regulations and service line policy and procedures.

Responsibilities for the Registered Dietician

  • Responsible for the assessment of all patients and the development of a plan of care that ensures nutritional needs are met, assuring that the patient and families are satisfied with nutritional services and provided with education as needed
  • Reviews Labs, MAR/TAR, weights, and takes appropriate interventions when conditions warrant
  • Develops and conducts informative sessions to ensure patients are provided the appropriate dietary information relevant to their plan of care
  • Demonstrates knowledge of state and federal regulations for skilled post-acute & long term care
  • Assesses and makes menu recommendations to the Director of Culinary
  • Required to calculate and prevent significant weight loss
  • Monitors needs for assisted dining patients
  • Calculates and monitors tube feeding requirements


Requirements for Registered Dietician:

  • Must be licensed in the state of Nebraska as a Registered Dietician.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a clinical dietician in a long term care or post acute setting is preferred
