Job Description

Phillips Manufacturing, one of the nation's foremost names in the custom drywall and plaster components industry and growing within the roofing metals industry is looking for talent to join our team.


Specifically, we are currently searching for a 3rd shift Lead in Vinyl to join our growing operation at our Omaha facility. We are considering internal candidates for our third shift (midnight turn).


The following is additional information designed to assist you in determining if you would like to be considered as a candidate for this opportunity:




Monitors activities and assists with the supervision of various production personnel. Operate and maintain equipment, and applicable components, to achieve optimum production, consistent with proper safety and quality requirements.


Essential Functions:



Work with department supervisor to establish and develop new processes and training for all new products.


Take the lead role in training department personnel on equipment and processes in your assigned area.


Work with and instruct employee's on performing successful changeovers to manufacture good product consistent with company standards.


Monitor safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping in assigned department.


Ensure the quality of the product meets specifications.


Redirecting personnel who are not performing job tasks that contribute to the department's success.


Assign tasks during downtime.


Produce the proper production reports in a legible format.


Monitor safety, quality and process /methods being utilized by department personnel. Train and/or Redirect personnel who are not meeting acceptable standards.


Document performance, attendance and safety issues, issue verbal warnings, document any and all performance related counseling / warnings and provide copies to both Human Resources and the area supervisor.
