Department / Location: Reimers Kaufman Concrete Products, Lincoln, NE
Markets, promotes and sells materials & products distributed by Reimers Kaufman to home builders,
Residential contractors, Landscape contractors and Distributors by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
Maintain and expand sales of Reimers Kaufman products to existing Distributors, Landscape Contractors, Residential Contractors, Glass Contractors, as well as Waterproofing & Sealing Contractors.
Recruit and maintain new customers to expand customer base.
Develop a strong working knowledge of Reimers Kaufman products to service and meet the changing needs of customers.
Maintain and constantly seek to improve product knowledge and skill set.
Serve as relationship manager for existing accounts as assigned. Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
Represent and promote Reimers Kaufman with products and services during meetings with trade professionals and homeowners, in showrooms, at trade association events, and trade/home shows as required.
Develop and apply understanding of Reimers Kaufman products, as well as, develop an understanding of competitive products to have a working knowledge of the strengths and weaknesses of the compared products.
Develop a working knowledge of new products. Monitor customer satisfaction; assess effectiveness of current program, cross sell additional products as appropriate.
Work with other Reimers Kaufman departments (logistics, systems, operations, credit, etc.) to resolve any significant issues which may impact the sales process.
Must attend and participate in all sales meetings, company meetings, and other events deemed necessary.
Follow-up with customer sources with timely and accurate updates to assure overall customer satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience:
A college degree with technical emphasis in marketing, construction or a comparable degree. A minimum of 3-4 years of previous comparable sales and service experience, preferably with construction, commercial masonry products or comparable industries. Preference given to individuals with previous masonry products experience. Must have demonstrated strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Proven experience in sourcing and developing a customer base needed.
Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Must be thorough in verbal and written communication skills to assure all aspects of the project are documented. Must be able to maintain good customer service. Ability to develop a strong customer base and maintain ongoing business relationships. Must be able to present ideas with knowledge and authority.
Ability to compute square footage. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with constant changes in the marketplace to develop the best solution for the customer.
To perform this job successfully must have demonstrated computer ability and literacy to perform all aspects of the job. Must be PC literate in Microsoft Office products and sales tracking software. Must have the ability to use information technology to track potential customers, customers and contractors to assure needs are met.

Must have a good driving record and be insurable under the Company insurance program.

Must be motivated to succeed and perform with minimal supervision. Must be flexible in work assignments. Ability to maintain professional approach at all times. Must have ability to research information and produce reports for the customer. Must have good attention to detail capabilities and be customer oriented. Follows through on requests and assignments. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints of estimates. Must be able to develop an intricate knowledge of how the products work—and the best way to install them—and pass that expertise on to the masonry customer and Watkins personnel.
Must be able to communicate well with architects, contractors and retail customers. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a high sales aptitude. Must be able to maintain a business-like attitude when dealing with employees, customers and other personnel.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and use hands and fingers to handle, or feel. Employee will be occasionally required to lift 50 pounds of product/materials. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to go to construction and contractor sites as needed.
This is considered an outside sales position for the company. The noise level in the work environment is usually associated with an office environment. The employee will be required to make visits to contractor sites. This is considered a field position where the individual will be predominately outside of the office with the masonry contractors. The job requires a considerable amount of discipline to motivate and maintain a constant commitment to meeting goals and achieving results. This is non-smoking campus.

Candidate is required to meet the above qualifications, task frequency and PPE requirements. Approval of pre-employment reference & background checks, and post offer drug/alcohol testing with back screens (if required) are required as conditions of employment.
