Millard West High School and Andersen Middle School are seeking a dedicated English Learner (EL) Teacher for an immediate opening. We are looking for a qualified candidate with an EL endorsement and a passion for helping students develop English language proficiency and succeed academically.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of English Learners (ELs) across both schools.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support EL students in mainstream classes and provide specialized English language instruction.
  • Utilize a variety of assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning goals.
  • Communicate regularly with families to provide updates on student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for student performance and ensure EL program compliance.
  • Participate in professional development and stay up-to-date with best practices in EL instruction.
  • Foster an inclusive, welcoming classroom environment

Qualifications:

  • Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate with an EL endorsement.
  • Experience working with English Learners at the secondary level is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

All certificated jobs will be posted for at least one week. Depending on the size of the applicant pool, postings may be extended beyond a week.  Building principals may start scheduling interviews before the posting end date, but no jobs will be offered until a job has been posted for one week.
