Data Research Analyst
ResearchUSA is seeking Data Research Analysts to work with us on the inspection and analysis of large data sets, specifically data of business names, locations, and their corporate affiliations. The ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, methodical, and able to research company websites to understand and establish corporate linkages. So what is corporate linkage?
Knowing how a business is related to other businesses can be a powerful tool and may often change how to approach them. It can provide the transparency and insight a business needs. It’s also helps companies better manage risks, identify opportunities, and enhance purchasing power by identifying current businesses that come from the same corporate family. The ResearchUSA data is used by large corporations and government agencies.
So what is corporate linkage?
It’s the relationship between different businesses within a corporate family. Linkage happens when one company has responsibility or a relationship with another company. Each business in the ResearchUSA database has a classification that is broken down into the following:
Stand-Alone Businesses – these are companies that have no corporate linkage relationships established.
Headquarters – this is a business that has other branches or divisions that reports to it.
Subsidiary Headquarters – Many large companies have many brands. Often there is a subsidiary headquarter that is responsible for all of the branches with that brand.
Branch – A branch is a location that reports to either the headquarter or a subsidiary headquarter.
