The Designer provides support to faculty in creating high-quality face-to-face, hybrid, online courses and emerging systems. Helps faculty implement interactive learning that is most effective for community college students. Uses creativity, imagination, and emerging instructional technologies to bring fresh ideas to the design of robust and engaging courses for changing delivery technologies and learning spaces. Trains and coaches faculty individually, and facilitates workshops presenting best practices in digital delivery. The Designer works with faculty in crafting courses to meet MCC standards by utilizing the teacher’s own style, expertise and integrity that will merge with delivery systems.
Minimum of a Master’s degree in a related field (such as Education/Instructional Design/Instructional Technology) plus two (2) years Instructional Design, Distance Learning, or Instructional Technology experience in related field. Higher Education/Community College experience preferred. Previous work experience in teaching or training preferred. Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered. Ability to travel between campuses for meetings or position responsibilities. Hiring process includes a background check.
