Corporate Communications Opportunity in Financial Services

Advisor Group operates on hybrid work location schedule, so we are open to candidates willing to work a split schedule between home and the office. Consideration will also be given to applicants seeking 100% remote work from home.
Advisor Group is looking for communications expert to help lead our corporate communication strategy and execution. Working closely with key executives in multiple departments across the organization, the Communications Manager will help create the client experience and ensure the Advisor Group story is being told successfully in all communication channels.
The ideal candidate will be adept at creating complex communications plans, building timelines, creating content and working with a variety of stakeholders. This role requires a strong ability to effectively manage, organize and prioritize multiple tasks, in addition to a close attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
The Communications Manager will collaborate closely with email, digital, and creative marketing managers, in addition to other communications experts to fulfill communication needs for the firm.
Serve as the liaison between communications and multiple business units to address the communication needs of the firm and of our clients
Create thoughtful communications plans with a customer-first mindset
Research and write meaningful communications and collateral content, including emails, newsletter articles, website content, brochure content, video scripts, landing page content, and more
Leverage multiple sources to gather and create content, including interviewing internal subject matter experts and external partners
Proofread and copyedit material created by other team members or business partners and provide recommendations to enhance voice and messaging
Work draft communications through the approval and distribution process, including gathering feedback, anticipating obstacles and opportunities, leveraging insight from other team members, setting deadlines, seeking compliance approval, and collaborating with email, digital, and creative marketing managers to fulfill communication needs
Participate in the development and execution of strategic marketing/communication projects
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of available channels to cross-promote updates and announcements and coordinate with necessary parties to update those channels
Compile content for and oversee distribution of weekly customer-facing newsletter
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered (Bachelors highly preferred)
Minimum 3 years of previous experience in corporate writing, communications, or another related role
Superior writing and editing skills, including ability to research and synthesize information into content that meets the target audience's needs
Superior proofreading and editing skills, including ability to rewrite content to make it appropriate for the audience and voice /author
Strong organization, time management and productivity skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to bring fresh perspective to existing processes or materials
Strong listening skills and ability to find resolutions or compromises to conflicting opinions and instructions
Strong verbal and writing skills
Prior experience in financial services a plus
