We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Research Associate to join our Healthcare & Medical Technologies Team. Ladenburg Thalmann, a member of Advisor Group.  Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc., Ladenburg's investment bank, has been a member of the New York Stock Exchange for 140 years and offers a full suite of investment banking and capital markets products and services, including proprietary equity research and a fixed-income trading desk.

Responsibilities:

As an Equity Research Associate at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. you would be responsible for supporting the current analysts. These tasks include building, updating, and maintaining financial models, performing fundamental research on publicly traded companies, and keeping tabs on the news flow of both public and private companies within the healthcare sector. The associate will also be responsible for maintaining our CRM data, managing schedules, and supporting our virtual events.

Education Requirements:

• The candidate must have a bachelor's degree as well as 2-4 years of professional experience in Equity Research, Investment Banking and/or Capital Markets (sector and industry agnostic)
• Series 7, SIE, 86, and/or 87 a plus (associate will be required to acquire the Series 7 and SIE at minimum within three (3) months of hire date)

Basic Requirements:

• Ability to analyze scientific literature and data
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience utilizing Excel for financial modeling. An advanced level of excel proficiency is expected and required
• Exceptional analytical capabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Evidence of resourcefulness, adaptability, flexibility, grit, creativity, multitasking, attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work hard and learn
• Demonstrated interest in corporate finance & equity markets

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous equity research experience is preferred
• Healthcare sector or scientific background is a plus
