Sales Support Specialist - Annuity

Location:          ALL LOCATIONS & REMOTE


We have an opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist - Annuity within Highland Capital Brokerage, a member of Advisor Group. The Sales Support Specialist will work alongside the Regional Vice Presidents in assisting financial professionals and independent agents with annuity business. The role will be responsible for helping increase overall annuity sales as well as working within the Ladenburg Product and Income Consulting (LPIC) team to create synergy within Highland Capital Brokerage. The Sales Support Specialist must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and is able to adapt with change. This position could evolve into a full-time Regional Vice President or Product Consultant in the future.


  • Work with annuity sales team by running annuity illustrations and case design in a timely manner (40%)                                                                                               
  • Assist financial professionals and sales team with carrier and product information, current rates/caps, fulfilling supply requests (20%)                                                                        
  • Respond in a timely manner meeting company service levels) for all service and solicitation requests (20%)                                                                                       
  • Answer overflow calls from the phone queue (5%)                                                               
  • Assist with email campaigns and webinars by following up on engaged prospects and writing financial professionals (5%)                                                                     
  • Assist sales team by prospecting, setting appointments and follow up meetings (10%)
  • All other duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred, H.S. Diploma or GED certificate + Significant Practical Experience will be considered


Basic Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of previous work experience
  • 1-3 years of financial industry experience are required
  • Proficient in marketing activity tracking and reporting systems
  • Required technical strength to work within firm's technology and Microsoft office tools 
  • Understanding of relevant FINRA and SEC rules and regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of securities products with an emphasis on annuity business
  • Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment to meet defined deadlines
  • All other duties as assigned

Preferred Requirements:

  • Life insurance licenses
  • Series 6 registration
