As an IT intern, not only will you be paired with a formal mentor, but you’ll also get hands-on experience solving business needs, supporting the people and the communities where we live, interacting with senior executives, working with a team, developing business acumen and more.

 

Experience more than day-to-day

 

IT interns will use their knowledge to gain valuable experience and on-the-job skills in the critical roles IT has within a bank. Opportunities available include

 

  • Data Architecture
  • Data Analytics
  • Infrastructure 
  • Cyber Security 
  • IT Operations 

 

Our ANB interns will learn transferrable skills and collaborate with a network of peers and advocate leaders while developing specialized knowledge to begin their careers in IT. Interns will also be exposed to all departments that make up the bank, giving them the opportunity to understand and learn about the diverse functions that allow a bank to operate. Through this experience, our interns will understand that working in a bank is not just about counting money, it’s about serving clients, providing solutions for everyday needs while looking to the future, growing businesses and taking care of the behind the scenes operations and systems.

 

Applications for the IT Summer Internship program are accepted from February 15th thru March 31, 2023

 

American National Bank Summer Internship Program will run May 23rd through August 4th.

Responsibilities

 

  • General shadowing and education on banking processes and the role IT plays in bank operations and the client experience
  • Research client products, technology and existing digital services
  • Maximize client retention and client experience through IT offerings
  • Manage specific projects as assigned by your team
  • Communicate and interact with external and external clients.
  • Learn on-the-job skills and technologies

 

Requirements

 

  • Pursuing an Associate/ Bachelor/MS Degree, preferably in an IT-field
  • GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think and work independently and in a team environment within a professional setting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and creative and critical thinking skills
  • Intellectually curious and not afraid to ask questions
  • Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
