JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent maintains a high level accuracy and proficiency in processing bank transaction items in a digital/electronic environment. Key and balance incoming branch and merchant file transmissions as well as assist with the various other functions necessary to assure that all outgoing files are properly transmitted to various Correspondent banks and processed into the ITI system. Assist branch staff in troubleshooting issues with remote capture. Responsible for timely completion of required training applicable to the position and regular and effective application of such training in the performance of the position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform Amount Entry on the Wausau Optima system. Using a computer, enter the amounts on all items that have not been read by CAR/LAR. (15%) 2. Perform Combined Field Entry on the Wausau Optima system. Using a computer, enter all the MICR fields for all items where more than the amount is needed to complete the required information. (20%) 3. Perform Image balancing on the Wausau Optima system. Using a computer, determine all out of balance transactions and correct the transactions in a manner consistent with the policies and procedures of the department. When needed, contact the branch where the transaction was captured to determine the correct course of action to correct the transaction. (25%) 4. Perform the various function within the Wausau Optima system needed to create the files needed to process within the ITI system. This includes, duplicate checking, Fraud suspect checking and creation of Electronic Cash Letters (ECL.) (10%) 5. Assist with the validation and reconcilement that all daily transmissions have been received for remote merchant capture customers. (5%) 6. Assist in the transfer of files to the ITI system via the various components of VIE. (5%) 7. Assist in the validation of outgoing cash letters to Correspondent banks by processing the items through MIA and reviewing suspect items. (10%) 8. Various other duties as assigned to assure the smooth operation of the department. (5%)

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

PERSONAL FINANCES: Must have the ability to manage personal finances.

NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

1. Accurate and proficient 10 key skills. 2. Knowledge of debits and credits and general math skills needed to perform daily reconciliation of bank transactions. 3. Above average analytical skills in resolving balancing issues. 4. Skill in operating office equipment such as: personal computers, various software/processing systems, adding machine, etc. 5. Ability to work under daily time constraints to meet all appropriate deadlines. 6. Knowledge of Personal Computers and general computer operation. 7. General phone etiquette and the ability to communicate regularly with branch personnel in the completion of daily duties and in resolving branch capture issues.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

1. High School graduate or equivalent is preferred. 2. Previous proof, teller or balancing experience strongly recommended. .
