The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires all healthcare workers, as well as individuals who interact with healthcare workers in a work setting, be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment unless a medical or religious exemption is approved. At this time, fully vaccinated means that an individual is at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment. As a condition of employment, newly hired team members will be required to provide proof of their COVID-19 vaccination or apply for a medical or religious exemption.

What you would do in this role:

• Using aseptic techniques when working in or around sterile fields.
• Assisting circulating nurse with transporting to positioning of the patient in the OR.
• Obtaining and transporting supplies, specimens and blood and lab work as directed by the circulator during surgical procedures.
• Assisting the circulator with preparation of the surgical site.
• Performing between case clean-up in the OR.
• Maintaining adequate stock of supplies to support daily operations in the surgical suites.
• Setting high standards of performance for self and others.
• Using communication skills to achieve the desired outcomes/.
• Maintaining a functional, safe and clean environment in the OR.
• Supporting quality care.
• Promoting a team concept.
• Maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Here’s what makes for an ideal candidate:

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• BLS required upon 60 days of hire.
• Must have at least one year of clinical experience with direct patient care.
• OR experience preferred.
• Must have the ability to interact with patients, physicians and other team members in a collaborative manner.
