OrthoNebraska is seeking Clinical Educator to join our team. Our Clinical Educator collaborates with administration, managers, and subject manner experts to provide clear and consistent education for our clinical team members. What you would do in this role:

  • Develop, Implement, and Evaluate educational programs on new and evolving procedures, equipment, and/or technology for the Clinical Departments to enable them to enhance outcomes. Assess ongoing needs for continuing education (CE). 
  • Design, implement, and evaluate department specific orientation processes, in collaboration with the Clinical Managers and formal Preceptors, to enable new team members to deliver optimal patient care and function within established guidelines. Facilitate components of OrthoNebraska Orientation.
  • Design, develop, implement and evaluate processes to ensure Nursing Department staff meets established competency requirements.
  • Coordinate, implement, and evaluate all aspects of the Education Committee to ensure the highest level of education is being provided to the departments.
  • Design, develop, implement and evaluate new employee orientation processes to enable new employees to deliver optimal care and function within OrthoNebraska’s established guidelines regardless of position held. Implement, evaluate and maintain the formal preceptor program.
  • Demonstrates leadership by communicating effectively at all levels, participating in committees as necessary and maintaining effective ongoing working relationships to promote a positive work environment.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge necessary to provide education to employees regarding age specific guidelines related to the population served.
  • Plans and coordinates the initiation of research study protocol, establishes operating procedures, policy and procedure of the research.
  • Monitors progress of all research activities; develops and maintains records of research activities and prepares periodic and ad hoc reports as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.

Here’s what makes for an ideal candidate:

  • Current Nebraska RN Licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification within required timeframe upon hire
  • Knowledge of Surgical Services, Medical Surgical, and Emergency Department environment.
  • Computer Skills in Microsoft Office 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to instruct and collaborate with others required. 
  • Ability to solve complex problems through a well-ordered approach.
  • Knowledge of systems and change theory, individual and group behaviors, teaching and learning principals and research outcomes.
