The Accounts Payable Scanner is a vital role that provides accounts payable support to our Accounting Department at OrthoNebraska. The Accounts Payable Scanner works closely with multiple vendors, staff and stakeholders every day. If you think this may be a fit for you, apply today!


What you will do in this role:

  • Scan invoices and supporting documents into systems and maintain appropriate filing systems for computer reports, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Possible future expansion of role:

  • Review all invoices received for reasonableness and accuracy.
  • Performs appropriate matching of invoices with purchase orders and receivers to process payments for items received and code invoice.
  • Data entry of accounts payable invoices from suppliers and any source documents received for billing purposes as assigned.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate old items.
  • Assist various internal customers with Accounts Payable questions.
  • Utilize and process invoices using the Materials Management application as defined.

What makes an ideal candidate:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Prior healthcare and/or knowledge of medical terminology experience is encouraged.
  • Understanding of multiple accounting system modules and their impact on the organization’s overall financial performance.
  • Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite of products and GL systems.
  • Works well both independently and in a team environment, takes ownership and responsibility for multi-faceted projects, identifies and implements methods to promote cooperation, possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to troubleshoot and reconcile data from disparate systems.
