About This Job
The Director, Billing and WMP revenue cycle is responsible for accurate billing, collections, and advisor payouts of all of Orion Portfolio Solutions and Brinkers accounts on the Wealth Management Platform (WMP).

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Provides leadership, oversight and direction to the companys billing, collections and payouts to financial advisors on all WMP assets on Orions technology platform. Works collaboratively with the WMP billing teams, finance and accounting teams as well as with the other operational WMP teams and other revenue stakeholders.

  • Works with billing team on timely resolution of billing issues that arise and work with operational and product development teams to put in place strong operational controls over billing and collection processes.

  • Works with billing product teams and assists with specifications on new software development to ensure efficient and accurate billing of clients.

  • Works with accounting and finance team in providing billing reports for monthly, quarterly, annual reporting as well as KPIs

  • Assist with billing and revenue inquiries for regular process and financial audits.

  • Enforces revenue cycle operational policies and procedures. Evaluates and modifies as necessary to optimize performance.

  • Drives team performance to meet productivity expectations

  • Delivers successful collection results with industry KPI and benchmark metrics

  • Maintains fiduciary responsibility to the organization by utilizing resources in an efficient manner

  • Accountable for all decisions regarding employment, performance appraisals, training, corrective actions, and salary recommendations for billing team members and billing manager(s).

Skills Needed to Perform the Job

  • Knowledge and understanding of managing revenue cycles including billing, collections and advisor/solicitor payouts.

  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail.

  • Ability to react well under pressure and manage difficult or emotional customer situations.

  • Ability to act with professionalism and diplomacy when communicating with a customer.

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues utilizing creative and critical/analytical thinking skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment.

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.

  • Ability to manage, lead, inspire, direct, motivate, and develop a team of employees.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Strong written, listening and verbal communication skills, as well as effective telephone skills.

  • Effective problem solving, time management and organizational skills.

Education Needed to Perform the Job

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

  • MBA strongly preferred.

  • 10 years of experience in billing and revenue cycles required.

  • 3-5 year of leadership or management experience preferred.

  • Prior experience in the financial services industry preferred.

  • Orion Industry Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Experience Needed to Perform the Job

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in billing and revenue cycle experience required.

  • 3-5 years of management/leadership experience preferred.

  • Prior experience in financial services industry preferred.
