Our client is seeking a Paralegal to join their growing team. The selected individual will be responsible for managing the probate process, generating a variety of documents, organizing discovery and trial data, summarizing depositions, preparing trial notebooks, assisting with corporate and real estate matters and all other aspects involved in litigation as directed by supervising attorney.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with all aspects of probate, including preparing estate opening documents, notices and the probate inventory, communicating with the executor and beneficiaries and preparing the final report and closing the estate.
  • Prepares wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  • Assists with administration of complex estates and trusts.
  • Collects, analyzes, organizes and summarizes documents, medical records, discovery, testimony, transcripts, and trial data for multiple attorneys and multiple cases.
  • Utilizes a variety of software and on-line applications to assist with discovery and organizing, summarizing and producing documents.
  • Organizes trial exhibits, assists with trial preparation, and attends trial when necessary.
  • Prepares and files documents necessary for forming and maintaining business entities.
  • Assists in corporate and real estate transactions.
  • Conducts UCC, tax lien, corporate status, credit, and other related searches and investigations.
  • Attends trial with attorney if requested to do so.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree required, preferably in Paralegal Studies.
  • Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations.  
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal court and administrative agencies practices and procedures.
  • Highly skilled in technology to perform the duties of the position (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, and other electronic search technology and relevant databases).
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload through organization and prioritization of projects. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of classified information.
  • Ability to be available and on time for work.
  • Ability to work as a team with attorneys and other staff.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and other business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
