Our client is adding a Senior Employment Specialist to provide advanced human resources expertise.  As a member of the HR team, the team member will help the organization achieve its strategic goals of being an employer of choice within the communities it serves by providing advanced level of support in employee relations, serves as a primary point of contact with recruiting firms, performance management, policy interpretation, and regulatory compliance.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Proactively partners with hiring managers and recruiting firms to coordinate staffing
  • Works with the AVP of Human Resources to coordinate, lead, and monitor the organization’s performance management process
  • Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and to promote a high level of employee engagement
  • Conducts consistent investigations of complex issues; oversees and participates in resolution of issues and recommends appropriate actions
  • Coaches and counsels’ employees and managers on matters of performance, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretation to ensure uniform and equitable application
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of documentation; counsels management on proper completion of paperwork including warnings, suspensions, performance improvement, and terminations
  • Manages and tracks employee relations activity and participates in compiling comprehensive metrics for data reporting and trend identification



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Employment Recruiting, or Employee Relations
  • Five plus years’ experience in Human Resources
  • Proficient in working with business partners to conduct manager and employee coaching, creating employee documentation, and employee investigation documentation
  • Experience working with outside recruiting firms to secure temporary staffing resources and/or match to hire
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • PHR/or SHRM-CP professional credential required
  • Preferred experience with Paylocity HRIS platform
  • Commitment to the mission
