Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Clerk

The Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Clerk is responsible for generating daily order pick plans and maintaining item setup in the company's warehouse management system. The individual in this position is responsible for working with other departments and locations to determine cause and resolution of short shipments and other issues, and distribution operations. Will also perform warehousing and other related duties as required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.
Generate daily order pick plans for finished good warehouses. Create and modify reports using WMS and computer applications, ensuring information is accurate
Take responsibility for warehouse management system setup of finished good items. Determine order of priority of internal and external shipping schedules.
Review inventory levels in accordance with scheduled shipments to verify fulfillment of orders.
Work with other departments to determine cause and resolution of short shipments.
Prepare customs invoices for export shipments.
Maintain and monitor item status in the WMS for inventory control and/or quarantine purposes.
Assist in WMS maintenance tasks and testing initiatives.
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
Adhere to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
An individual qualified for this job must be able to:
Demonstrate knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
Understand and use principles of inventory control, materials acquisition, storage, and distribution.
Accurately multiply, divide, add, and subtract whole numbers to resolve practical problems.
Efficiently operate a computer and demonstrate PC proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Understand written instruction and complete appropriate documentation as directed.
Use a logical approach to troubleshooting issues and prioritizing production needs.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
1-2 year's warehouse/inventory experience required, or any satisfactory combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties.
