The Customer Relations Associate performs daily sales operational functions in the Dealer Services department related to the sale of branded aftermarket auto accessories to new car dealers nationwide. This position is responsible for maintaining and generating and building sales relationships with customers, through outbound and inbound phone calls. This position is also responsible for maintaining a constant focus on efforts to improve performance, quality, and efficiency of work processes

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job.

  • Receive, evaluate and processes customer questions or complaints regarding quality, specifications, or delivered condition of product. This includes submitting requests for credits or return authorizations as needed.
  • Work directly with suppliers on day-to-day orders, regarding backorders, custom dealer imprinted orders, product availability, and status of special orders.
  • Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
  • Adhere to established company values, practices, policies and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

    The individual may be asked to perform other duties.

    An individual qualified for this job must be able to:
  • Operate a computer PC proficiency.
  • Effectively use business software, including email and customer relationship management software.
  • Effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers, team members, and internal or external customers. Clearly and accurately present information in one-on-one and small group situations with customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Interpret technical instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Pay attention to details and pursue quality in accomplishing work duties and tasks. Look for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.

  • At least 1-3 years' related work experience, which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above duties, required.
  • A proven track record in school or work experience in working with people and excellent communication skills. At least one year of transferable experience required with sales/customer relations and customer service procedures.

  • This is a desk-based job and will require the individual to remain seated for long periods of time and have the manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator, phone, copier/scanner, and similar machines.

  • The individual will work primarily in an office setting in the same room as other individuals. Noise levels are average for an office and include conversation and/or office equipment noise. Long periods of stationary activity will be necessary.
