The Regional Sales Manager-Automotive and Lubricants is responsible for owning customer relationships in a business-to-business selling role for a 100-year-old, privately held “mid-cap” manufacturer, marketer and distributor of automotive aftermarket products and industrial lubricants. The individual in this position will lead and manage the delivery of the company’s business strategy and customer value proposition through direct private label customers and distributor channels. The Regional Sales Manager is also responsible for championing the delivery of an excellent customer experience to ensure value creation and earn loyalty.

Some Duties Will Include:
•Manage and grow an existing book of business as well as prospect and hunt for new business opportunities.
•Own the customer relationship and manage high level senior relationships with key strategic partners, distributors and private label customers within the associate’s assigned sales region.
•Ensure voice of customer is recognized and is integral in the composition of offers and champion the delivery of an excellent customer experience to ensure value creation and earn loyalty.
•Lead implementation of the company strategies by ensuring strategic objectives and milestones are embedded into region and sector plans. Support strategy development activities for the region and sectors to deliver sustainable long term value and growth. Earn agreement with stakeholders to optimize between strategic and short term financial delivery.
•Develop insight from customer, market sector, competitor and industry understanding to contribute to the business strategy. Ensure that the company remains differentiated and takes advantage of business opportunities.
•Deliver region financial performance targets for all customers and sales channels including: volume, gross margin, receivables and customer facing costs.
•Drive continuous improvement in the delivery and quality of sales forecasting, including development of a prospect pipeline and management of vulnerabilities.
•Listen intently to distributor’s needs and pain points, and tailor a program offer that addresses those needs by leveraging the company’s many capabilities and value propositions.
•Manage distributor relationships, agreements, contracts, and quotes to ensure profitable growth of this channel.
