Sr. Director of Clinical Mental Health – 4 Day Work Week!

Salary:  $80,000.00+ yearly

Type of Position: Full-Time or ¾ Time

This is a rare opportunity to oversee residential and outpatient services while driving evidence-based practices and promoting a positive, collaborative environment. This position is flexible, and you can work a four-day workweek if desired. A ¾ time option is also available to someone wishing to work 30 hours per week. 

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Lead, supervise, and oversee Behavioral Health programs, focusing on residential and outpatient services.
  • Evidence-Based Practices: Implement and ensure the fidelity of evidence-based interventions throughout the organization in individualized treatment plans.
  • Staff Development: Train, consult, coach, and provide feedback to staff, monitoring progress and promoting parent education and family engagement.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to evaluate program performance, meet daily objectives, and assess risk for young people and families.
  • Budget Oversight: Participate in budget preparation, monitor financial information, and maintain program performance within budget constraints.
  • Supervision: Lead and develop direct reports, including hiring, evaluating, and overseeing clinical service providers.
  • Caseload: Carry a caseload if clinical needs require additional support.
  • Community Engagement: Establish relationships with community stakeholders, agencies, and officials to advocate for youth and families.
  • Compliance: Develop and administer policies, ensuring program compliance with contractual, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Prepare reports, oversee communication, and document development and dissemination.
  • Support Licensure: Support Master's level personnel in licensure attainment through supervision and training.
  • Leadership: Provide effective leadership, understanding, and communication of the organization's vision and mission.
  • Marketing: Develop marketing strategies to drive program referrals.
  • Team Building: Help recruit other mental health clinicians and promote a positive, collaborative working environment.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with other service providers and stakeholders to build and maintain program support.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master's degree in social work or counseling, with two years of supervision or counseling experience in a social services agency.
  • Licensing: Current social work/counseling/therapy/mental health license in Iowa and Nebraska or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
  • Expertise: Advanced knowledge of evidence-based treatment practices.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience with managed care organizations, Medicaid, Department of Health and Human Services, and Juvenile Court Systems is preferred.
  • Supervision: Supervisory experience or the ability to perform supervisory functions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Technology: Proficiency in electronic case records and data management systems.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to interact with clients and children with cultural and socioeconomic sensitivity.
  • Mobility: Physical mobility to navigate the campus setting and travel to other CSUSA locations.
