PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Recruits qualified talent to all positions within the organization. Manages the applicant tracking system to ensure timely interviews, offers, onboarding, and retention strategies.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Build relationships with prospective applicants, local businesses, news media, churches, community volunteers and leaders to promote the agency as a great place to work.
  2. Coordinate, plan, schedule, facilitate or oversee recruitment events including career fairs, on-campus open interviews, and job fairs.
  3. Identify, coordinate and participate in recruitment opportunities. 
  4. Work independently and in conjunction with other staff, community partners, and volunteers to develop and implement an on-going recruitment campaign to attract people interested in becoming an employee.
  5. Pursue leads and inquiries from parties interested in becoming employees or interns using phone, email, direct contact and mail.
  6. Responsible for immediate follow-up to all inquiries from prospective applicants.
  7. Work with the Development Department in recruitment and fundraising activities.  
  8. Assist in special events and projects aimed at retention of employees.
  9. Serve as a role model in carrying out the Children’s Square U.S.A. mission as evidenced by the following behaviors:

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform other duties as may be requested by the supervisor. 
  2. Complete training necessary to perform position. 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years’ experience in recruitment, sales, or marketing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential information, act in an ethical manner, and interact cooperatively and effectively with clients and others.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, good driving record and automobile insurance that meets agency policy.
  • Ability to work days, evenings and some weekends as needed.
  • Ability to follow and consistently implement policies and procedures of Children’s Square USA.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  1. Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
  2. Clean driving record.  Able to drive during day and evening hours
  3. Flexible work schedule, including evening work. 
  4. Professional appearance, demeanor and dependability.
  5. Bending, lifting, carrying, walking, climbing stairs, ability to move from building to building and travel to other sites for service delivery
