Children’s Square USA is nationally accredited and adheres to the ethical principles and standards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and related entities that provide guidance and best practices for events, volunteers, marketing and related activities carried out by the organization.
This position is responsible for sustaining, strengthening and growing the community engagement and support of community members, corporations, educational institutions, foundations, churches, alumni, consumers and the general public. This is accomplished through a wide range of events, volunteer opportunities, annual giving, grants and public relations, including talks and tours, communications, and marketing.
A broader use of social media is desired as is grant writing and further developing existing donors / partners in our work. This individual will both direct and supervise the development and community relations functions and programming.
This individual will serve as the primary staff person to the Development and Community Relations Committee of the Board of Directors and serve on leadership and other committees as appropriate. The individual serving in this role is expected to be active and visible in the community and to foster a philanthropic and community engagement culture within the agency workforce.
