Corporate Financial Analyst

Thanks to incredible growth, The LovelyGroup is looking to add a Corporate Financial Analyst to the team!  By identifying trends, building budgets and establishing data driven short/long term forecasting; you’ll have an opportunity to make significant impact on leadership’s ability to make informed financial decisions.  In the role you will provide in-depth analysis of both operational and financial data to help align business processes and strategies with The LovelyGroup’s financial goals. You’ll be poised to make an impact if you’re also a strong communicator with the ability to use data to tell a story and generate key insights.

In this role you will…

Be the primary contributor to FP&A processes for the company, reporting to the controller.  On a daily basis you will be responsible for:

• Development of forecasts on key business metrics (revenue, inventory, etc.)
• Assist with implementation of budgeting processes and budget functionality
• Assist business units with the annual budget process, develop standard templates and processes, and provide historical trending analysis
• Responsible for tracking budget and actual expense information
• Developing and maintaining financial analysis processes and reporting needed including monthly financial variances, forecasting, costing, key metrics and trends
• Analyze results with explanations for growth and/or decline spikes, changes in trend and budget to actual variances
• Create and maintain reporting for inventory costing and COGS trends
• Participate in month-end close process
• Assist in the development of capex and fixed asset processes
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for business units as required.

Compensation: $60,000-90,000 (Dependent on Experience) Bonus Eligible
Location: On-site- Omaha, Nebraska
Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Hybrid work schedule, 2-4 days work from home

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-7 years of financial or business related analysis experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statements
• Advanced MS Excel skills, including vlookup, pivot tables, and powerquery
• Worked with BI tools and other data visualization software
• Experience with data management, including data validation and auditing
• Strong communication skills; can translate data findings to various users
• Keen eye for process and a curiosity to understand how things fit together
• This position is based in Omaha, NE.  Ability to work on-site 2 days/week required.

Nice to have:

• Consumer and or Retail ecommerce industry background preferred
• Working knowledge of our ERP, NetSuite
• Experience with or interest in SQL database querying
