CSS Staffing has an open position with a client in Lincoln, NE or Cincinnati OH, for an Information Security Engineer. If you are a senior level engineer experienced designing and implementing robust information security solutions, this may be the position you are looking for. Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs, builds and maintains the client’s Log Management System (LMS)
  • Develops and maintains log correlation rules, alerts, and alarms from events
  • Creates enterprise security documents (policies, standards, guidelines, procedures) for logging processes and/or requirements
  • Designs, builds and maintains Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
  • Designs, builds and maintains forensic and incident response processes.
  • Responds to and investigates alerts from various security tools
  • Designs and implements hardening standards for endpoints, servers and cloud environments
  • Collaborates with team to recommend and perform security improvements and/or upgrades
  • Keeps current with emerging security trends, vulnerabilities and exploits


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 7-10 years overall relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required
  • Strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working with following genre of security related tools including, but not limited to LMS, SIEM, DLP, EDR, Forensics/IR, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, Proxies, WAF
