IT Engineer - Web API Developer

Omaha, NE

 

The IT Engineer applies the theories and principles of information and computing to the design, development, testing and deployment of new and improved technology solutions. Partnering with architects on technology standards and roadmaps, and with business analysts on the business needs, the IT Engineer guides effective solution delivery with a focus on designs and verification, overseeing technology contributions from internal and external resources.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Expertise with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript Frameworks such as AngularJS, Jquery
  • Strong knowledge of the .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, LINQ, Visual Studio IDE, SQL, Batch, and PowerShell
  • Restful API development experience
  • Reporting and Data Visualization using Tableau, Power BI, and/or SSRS
  • Data analysis and query development
  • Partner with business and/or business analysts to analyze and understand the organization’s information technology needs
  • Design, develop, test and deploy technology solutions to satisfy identified needs
  • Partner with business analysts and architects to evaluate trade-offs between in-house, vended and cloud-based solutions
  • Ensure solutions are aligned with the technology roadmap and standards (technology, security, quality)
  • Create process flowcharts, diagrams, technical workflows and other related design documentation
  • Create the actual technical solution, for example programming, configuration, data delivery, etc.
  • Verify that the solution (in-house, vended, service-based) satisfies both the functional and non-functional requirements, accomplished through planning and executing tests, and through reviewing delivery lifecycle documents
  • The role may specialize by function (e.g., design, test, etc.), or by technology solution (integration, data, application, etc.)

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years IT experience, with mastery in the following domains:
  • Application development using Microsoft tools including .NET (C#), Java, Source Control
  • Solid understanding of relational database management systems: SQL
  • Expertise with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript Frameworks such as AngularJS, Jquery
  • Strong knowledge of the .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, LINQ, Visual Studio IDE, SQL, Batch, and PowerShell Restful API development
  • Preference for breadth of IT domains, technologies and roles
  • Ability to document and effectively communicate complex technical subject matter
  • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex technical solutions
  • Leadership, negotiation and consensus-building skills with business and technical groups
  • Experience working with cross-functional business initiatives involving varying levels of the organization, from end users to executive leadership, in developing solution requirements and translating business needs into, technical requirements
  • Must be self-motivated with an ability to initiate, and follow through on multiple concurrent projects under minimal supervision with high attention to detail
  • High sense of urgency and flexibility in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong presentation, communication, and facilitation skills (oral and written)
  • Strong project management and organization skills

 

Additional Information:     

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Assignment Length: Direct hire - candidates must be eligible to work in the US on a W2 basis without sponsorship or visa transfer
