Automated QA Engineer

Omaha, NE

CSS Staffing has an open position with a local enterprise client for an automated QA Engineer. The position will work as part of a newly formed agile team developing new systems in a cloud environment to replace legacy applications. If you have experience with automated QA, particularly in a cloud environment and want to be part of state of the art application development effort, this could be the position you are looking for. Core Responsibilities:

  • Functioning as part of a scrum team responsible for the complete delivery of solutions
  • Developing and executing test plans, cases, and scenarios in conformance with established standards and best practices
  • Analyzing and automating manual test cases
  • Deploying and maintaining automated test infrastructure
  • Researching the best automated test platforms available
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning and coordinating testing activities
  • Monitoring quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts
  • Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience with quality assurance standards, test planning and design
  • 3+ years of experience with automation and scripting test tools, using multiple browser
  • 3+ years with API/Web Services testing
  • 3+ years of experience in developing test automation using tools such as Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, SQL, regular expressions and Java or C#/.Net
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance standards, test planning and design
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Git
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with both technical and non-technical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and creativity

 

Desired:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
