Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize proficiency with programming languages including Java, SQL, R, and Python, and open source platforms like Spark, Sqoop, and Hive
  • Rely on extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL coding and querying skills
  • Design and implement enterprise corporate solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using EMR, S3, Athena, EC2, ECS and similar tools
  • Configure, support, and maintain enterprise solutions in a hybrid environment, while maintaining systems documentation
  • Design and create API's and Web Services
  • Design and support cloud applications in the areas of virtualization, storage, networking, disaster recovery and high availability
  • Manage and maintain a highly stable and responsive cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate directly with Enterprise Architecture team and other technical/non-technical stakeholders in the design, testing, integration, and implementation of cloud-based solutions
  • Test and implement standards/design patterns to ensure compatibility and integration in cloud environments
  • Provide guidance with respect to emerging cloud technologies and supporting resources
  • Serve as a lead resource on proofs of concept and projects which are leveraging cloud based technologies
  • Applies proficient knowledge of data to create effective solutions
  • Apply knowledge of data integration patterns such as ETL, ELT, and similar
  • Incumbent will be expected to pursue ongoing education to maintain knowledge of current and upcoming technologies in the field


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent amount of education and relevant experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in an IT-related profession utilizing relevant technologies (outlined above)
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting cloud environments
  • Demonstrated ability to write and edit complex SQL
  • Ability to support an enterprise with diverse technical environments
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills



  • Insurance or Financial Services industry background preferred
