Seasonal Customer Care Service Specialist

Hayneedle was recently acquired by Walmart/Jet and is experiencing unprecedented growth.  With an entrepreneurial spirit that fosters teamwork and professional development, our business is poised to redefine the way consumers decorate and shop for their home.  We are looking for Seasonal Customer Care Service Specialists to interaction with our customer.  The ideal candidate will possess the ability to research solutions and provide amazing service.

This role will report to the Customer Care Operations Manager and will be based at Hayneedle HQ in Omaha, Nebraska.


  • Respond to service requests from all email queues.
  • Support customer interactions via phone as business need dictates.
  • Demonstrate care and professionalism when responding to all written communication by having the written correspondence be clear, concise, and free of errors.
  • Represent Hayneedle with a positive reflection of values and mission.
  • Utilize excellent customer service skills to research and resolve customer issues.
  • Demonstrate empathy, drive and enthusiasm while handling customer questions, complaints and inquiries.
  • Own customer service resolutions through entire life cycle of customer service request.
  • Communication with the internal Vendor Specialist team members to address escalated vendor issues that affect the customer experience.
  • Offer input to Operational Supervisor concerning customer issues as well as changes and updates needed to websites.
  • Meet productivity goals.
  • Use judgment in the resolution of service issues to prevent monetary loss.
  • Attend training and coaching sessions to keep pace with product changes and updates.
  • Accurately input customer information.
  • Close sales (during high call volume periods) and provide after sale support.
  • Builds confidence in our potential customer by having a friendly phone presence and strong product knowledge and strong understanding of customer service policies.


  • Graduate of High School with a Diploma required /  Associates or Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Customer service orientated and dealt with escalated service issues in a call center environment, retail experience and expertise in the online retail industry (preferred).
  • Has assisted customers via email or chat (preferred).
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment.
  • Manages multiple projects required.
  • Prioritizes and communicates with internal / external teams, and show ownership for projects from start to finish.
  • Inspires, motivates and works alongside team members.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Demonstrates excellent PC skills using Microsoft Office software required.
  • Maturely handle complaints and diverse customers while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Able to work flexible shifts, evenings, weekends, and OT.
