Starting salary for candidate who meets minimum requirements (Experience will be compensated): $51

$2 Weekend Differential provided when shift requirements are met.

Typical Schedule: 40 hours/week

Under supervision of the Senior Director of Healthcare Practice and Chief Medical Officer and Program Directors, and in collaboration with the Director of Telehealth and Centralized Patient Care, the Senior Telehealth Clinician facilitates a team approach to patient care, working cooperatively with others to achieve productivity standards and exceptional customer service.  Provides consultation to Telehealth staff and guidance to other clinicians in interpreting and applying PPNCS medical procedures and policies, especially as they relate to the practice of Virtual Care. Participates in Medical Quality Assurance through observing clinicians, doing regular audits of clinician and support staff charting, observing, and signing off clinician and support staff competencies. Provides training of new clinicians in the organization 1:1 and/or through mentorship. 

Schedule: Variable schedule Monday – Friday 8 AM-8 PM, Weekends 10 AM-6PM. (A majority of shifts will be weekday shifts.) Candidate must live within the North Central States region of MN, ND, SD, NE, IA.

Responsibilities:

This position will impact us with the following contributions:

  • Works with health care team to meet established productivity standards for agency revenue, expense/margin, patient numbers, and quality health care and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintains strong working knowledge of Planned Parenthood policies and procedures, service commitments, and workplace values, and exhibits these traits in all aspects of patient care
  • Acts as a consultant to all PPNCS clinicians and support staff; take on-call shifts as assigned.
  • Obtains pertinent patient history and performs a physical exam, as indicated by the visit type.
  • Provides virtual clinical services, including reproductive and sexual health care and abortion services, to patients of the PPNCS Virtual Clinics in accordance with state regulations and licensure requirements
  • Provide medication or surgical abortion follow up.
  • Recognizes and addresses deviations from normal.
  • Performs, orders, and interprets both screening and diagnostic testing; addresses abnormal findings.
  • Develops plan, which may include treatment, medical or other referrals, and/or prescribing of medications.
  • Provides patient instruction regarding plan of care, preventive education, and health promotion and maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current active, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse and APN or Physician Assistant in at least one of the five PPNCS states, and ability to obtain additional state licenses upon hire to maintain prescriptive authority in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota
  • Current national board-certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse or a Physician Assistant
  • DEA license or ability to obtain at hire, and enrollment in Controlled Substance Monitoring Program as applicable in state you are applying for the role
  • Advanced degree, minimally Master’s Degree
  • Current CPR certification
  • At least two years of clinical experience in reproductive or family health care with progressively responsible duties

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

The position you are applying for is in a health center with direct patient care, therefore, if you were to be offered and accept employment, we would require the following documents from you prior to your first day of employment.  Please do not bring this documentation to your interview – you will have forms to complete that require the documentation should you be offered the position.

  • Hepatitis B vaccination records and titers
  • Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccination records or proof of immunization
  • Chicken Pox vaccination records or proof of immunization
  • Tetanus shot documentation
  • Tuberculosis PPD Skin Test that is no older than 12 months
  • CPR Certification
