Clinic Assistant

Planned Parenthood of the Heartland is seeking a full-time Clinic Assistant to join our team at our Omaha health center. The Clinic Assistant will participate in a team approach to patient care working cooperatively with others to achieve productivity standards and exceptional customer service. Will communicate effectively and sensitively to patients from a wide range of backgrounds and ages, while serving as a patient advocate.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Perform and record routine laboratory tests
  • Preparing, organizing and maintaining electronic medical records
  • Collect and post payment for services
  • Enter data accurately for patient visits and charges
  • Maintaining facilities, equipment and supplies
  • Will cross-train for front desk answering phones, patient scheduling, verifying insurance and processing mail

This position is full-time at 38 hours per week. Tentative schedule:  Monday 7:45a-4:30p, Tuesday and Wednesday 10:45a-7:15p, Thursday 8:45a-4:15p, every other Friday 8:45a-5:15p, every other Saturday 9:45a-3:15p.

Job qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with one year of customer service work
  • One year experience in health care is strongly preferred
  • Certified Medication Aide preferred but will train
  • Top notch computer skills and attention to detail required
  • Spanish/English bilingual is beneficial (bilingual stipend paid!)
  • Background check required for employment
