This manager will be responsible for all areas of corporate income taxes including provisions and tax accounting, preparation of returns, interface with outside tax council, tax planning, and developing tax strategies that are aligned with the goals, objectives, and policies of the Company that legally minimizes the Company’s tax liabilities. Responsibilities include managing and developing people and processes, as well as taking responsibility for the accuracy of all information produced.



  • Duties include administration and preparation of heavy volume of 1120S and 1065 returns
  • Review proposed transactions and provide accurate and timely advice and analysis to managements as to structure and impact on the parties to the transactions
  • Determine the appropriate tax accounting for transactions, thoroughly understand the financial accounting for the transaction, determine the appropriate tax return presentation/disclosure, and determine how the tax ramifications are properly accounted for
  • Ensure returns are filed on time and are accurate
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve tax controversies in a favorable and timely manner
  • Command the rules of tax accounting, guide stakeholders and make appropriate recommendation
  • Proactively communicate to executive management regarding relevant significant tax matters
  • Set and document tax related policies, practices and procedures for the Company
  • Develop, evaluate and advise management on tax planning strategies
  • Special projects as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required with advance degree preferred
  • CPA Certification with a minimum of 2yrs large public accounting firm experience
  • Minimum of 6 years combined experience in either public or private sector
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with little direction
  • History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and critical attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of debt and corporate transactions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with and present to all stakeholders, including senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to relay technical tax and accounting issues to individuals not knowledgeable in taxation
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to manage multiple challenging projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting with non-negotiable deadlines
