Classes will begin on DATE - TBD.
No experience is needed, as we will train and pay all attendees!
A dealer school complete training session will last four (4) weeks.
Classes are Monday Friday with your choice of one of these sessions:
1:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. CST
6:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. CST
Dealer School Attendees are paid a flat rate of $10.15 per hour to attend this school, while actively training.
Attendees will be trained on Blackjack, Blackjack Pitch, Cajun Stud, and High Card Flush games.
Attendees will be given periodic assessments to gauge progress/game knowledge throughout the session.
Successful completion of the school qualifies you for a live audition for Ameristar employment.
Attendees may apply for a Full-Time or Part-time Dealer position following their successful completion of the school and clear background check / drug screen. Ameristar Council Bluffs is an equal opportunity employer.
Dealer positions require flexibility on weekends, evenings and occasional holiday availability.
If hired as a Table Games Dealer after training completion, Ameristar Table Games Dealers (on average) make approximately $16.00 per hour ($5.45 per hour base rate, plus tips earned through a tip pool).

Adhere to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
Acknowledge, greet, and converse in English with all guests; offer assistance and information to anyone showing an interest in gaming.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of the Amerist Table Games Dealer School or six (6) months of experience as a dealer with at least two (2) high-volume, main games (Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, etc.) are required.
Must have strong verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Knowledgeable of applicable state gaming laws and regulations.
Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to figure payoffs.
