Assist in establishing company policy relative to the slot operation. Ensure proper Slot floor scheduling and coverage of your assigned area. Maintain two-way communication with team members to ensure awareness of new policies and procedures. Maintain a high-degree of professionalism when dealing with internal and external guests. Be responsible for the supervision and the development of the Slot Service Specialists. Pay out taxable jackpots. Handle guest disputes as necessary. Administrate policies and procedures in conformity with the State Gaming Commission and Ameristar Casino, Inc.
Adhere to established departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
Maintain a minimum of 3.0 quality coaching summary entries per quarter in the Slot Service Specialists on designated shift.
Ensure every team member is receiving three quality coachings per quarter, regular feedback on performance, and a timely evaluation on assigned shift.
Strive to achieve a 4.25 in the Team Member Satisfaction Survey scores as an individual and department.
Assist in hiring and retention of slot department team members.
Provide recognition to slot team members meeting and or exceeding our departmental objectives and guest service standards.
Issue timely performance evaluations on subordinates and offer development guidelines and resources to achieve goals and improve performance.
Maintain cleanliness standards in casino.
Assist in the selection, training, evaluation, supervision, and equitable treatment of Slot Service Specialists.
Progressively coach slot team members not meeting departmental expectations up to and including suspension pending management review.
Adhere to slot department policies and procedures.
Be responsible for the proper taxation on slot jackpots and collecting proper forms of identification from the guests.
Safeguard company assets.
Adhere to, interpret, support, and explain established company policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, federal and other regulatory procedures.
This is a non-uniformed position, which requires the team member be in compliance with non-uniformed appearance standards while on duty

Address Team Member questions and concerns; conduct internal investigations as needed.
Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor an effective team member relations program through effective communication.

Hire, train, coach, assess and review the job performance of non-exempt team members.
Continue professional development of self and subordinates as well as assist all team members with career planning and counseling as needed.
Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of self and subordinates.
Conduct and attend all regular departmental meetings as well as other related meetings.
Maintain an appropriate level of community affairs involvement.
Complete necessary reports in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
Respond to reasonable guest requests or place guest in contact with appropriate person for assistance
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Two (2) to three (3) years experience in a casino/slot department, as a slot service specialist or technician preferred.
Possession of, and ability to obtain and maintain a valid drivers and gaming license within assigned state of employment.
Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching, and consulting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Fully Competent in Microsoft Office
Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
