Primary Purpose of this Position:

Supervise, coordinate and perform maintenance and facility management tasks to meet maintenance and production schedules and goals.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Advise on manpower, material, equipment and other resources necessary to meet maintenance and production schedules and requirements.

2. Plan and coordinate the work of assigned maintenance personnel.

3. Train and assist personnel in maintenance related tasks, (WOs, PMs, Inventory issues, purchase requests)

4. Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues on equipment that is down.

5. Carry out the job functions of the Manager when the Manager is absent or unavailable.

6. Ensure that equipment is working properly.

7. Verbally enforce work and safety rules; report violations to the Manager.

8. Provide verbal feedback to Manager regarding job performance of assigned personnel and conduct performance review.

9. Make recommendations for improvements in equipment operation and Maintenance.

10. Use Megamation CMMS to: request work, schedule work, report work completed, request parts, and maintain inventory levels

11. Participate in the hiring process and promotion of personnel into, or within, the department.

12. Identify training needs and assist in the implementation of programs.

13. Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required:

1. Ability to understand and carry out complicated verbal and written instructions.

2. Ability to maximize cooperation and teamwork among assigned employees and with other departments.

3. Ability to plan and coordinate the work of a group of assigned employees to maximize efficiency and meet appropriate goals and deadlines.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Required:

4. Ability to perform extensive decision making and independent judgment regarding the sequence of operations and actions to be taken within the guidelines of a particular job or alternative methods to be used to complete a job or task.

5. Ability to work under limited supervision that focuses only on clarification or interpretation of procedures or job schedules.

6. Possess thorough understanding of all fabrication processes within a given fabrication shop or area.

7. Demonstrate good leadership, communication and training skills required to effectively manage a group of shop employees.
