Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our employees, guests and property through observing and reporting, video surveillance and access control protocol.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and authorize access of employees, contractors, visitors  and vehicles onto property
  • Patrol property regularly to maintain a secure environment
  • Respond to and investigate an array of incidents, accidents and suspicious activity
  • Monitor and respond to a number of alarms and technical systems
  • Operate multi-channel radio system and assign priority to incoming calls
  • Receive and respond to a wide variety of emergency and non-emergency calls

  • Previous experience and working knowledge of CCTV, access control systems, radio communication systems and parking control systems.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and the ability to work long hours, including overnights, evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to resolve and de-escalate conflict management situations and enhance customer service experience in an event setting.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized with an ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and adapt to change.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.  College course work/or commensurate experience in Criminal Justice or similar field preferred.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
