The purpose of this position is to support Northern Natural Gas (NNG) controls network by provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual will participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation in cyber security of the industrial controls network; ensure controls network maintain compliance with cyber security initiatives and regulatory requirements; utilize existing or new technology to automate processes; interface with engineering staff to ensure automation projects are completed per developed standards; assist operations in maintaining control systems per developed standards; and work with controls technical staff to resolve day-to-day issues.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
Acts as the top expert operational support analyst of the OT (Operations Technology) computing environment. Responsibilities include hardware installations, upgrades, operating systems and application software installations and upgrades, backup, and recovery administration, maintaining users and peripheral equipment, troubleshooting system and application issues.
Performs research and makes recommendations for software and hardware.
Provides complex technical recommendations for information systems operations network environments. Implements modifications to increase system capacity. Compiles records and reports concerning production, machine operations and maintenance. May advise on workflow plans, methods, and procedures analysis. Analyzes the results of performance and systems management software and recommends changes to improve processing and utilization.
Support the organization's efforts to implement hardware, software, and network solutions to maintain compliance with cyber security programs.
Lead the effort to implement advanced cybersecurity controls and monitoring.
Provide expert technical expertise in managing the controls network server infrastructure.
Investigate, analyze, and make recommendations related to reliability, effectiveness and/or efficiency of presently installed and proposed equipment.
Provide advanced technical guidance in the installation, evaluation, and maintenance of software applications.
Lead and support efforts to resolve network problems and incidents through root cause analysis and study of potential network deficits.
Maintain systems and the hosted services through continued monitoring, coordination of data backup, system troubleshooting and proactive security measures.
Develop a migration plan and replacement priority recommendation for existing equipment.
Interface with management and field personnel to ensure uniformity and continuity and to promote customer service.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent work experience. (Typically four years of additional related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a bachelor’s degree. A minimum of two years additional directly related technical experience is required.)

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
The Analyst I position requires a minimum of two years of related experience resulting in a demonstrated ability to support the technology systems as outlined.
The Analyst II position requires a minimum of four years of related experience resulting in a demonstrated ability to support the technology systems as outlined.
The Analyst III position requires a minimum of six years of related experience resulting in a demonstrated ability to support the technology systems as outlined.
