Intern - Human Resources (Recruitment/Social Media)

Job Description

Northern Natural Gas is looking for a summer intern to assist with various human resources projects, activities and reports, as requested. Projects and activities may include recruiting, training, researching market best practices, workforce analytics, and employee development.
This is a full-time paid summer internship that begins in May 2019 through mid-August 2019.
  • Assist with tracking and managing open positions
  • Assist in building and executing employer branding strategy on social media sites, including LinkedIn
  • Update human resources intranet site and make improvement recommendations
  • Develop manager toolbox on intranet site and populate with appropriate documentation
  • Support internal human resources audit activities and corrective action plans as needed


  • Must be a sophomore, junior or senior status, pursuing a four year degree in Business, Human Resources or other applicable field.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
