The contract administrator II, is responsible for initiating and processing contract documents according to specific legal and risk requirements for various services and suppliers; administering contracts and maintaining customer contact activities to provide for proper contract execution and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and customer specifications.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, administer and analyze requests for proposals (RFPs) associated with procurement of materials and contract services.
Administer standard and non-standard service contracts and agreements according to specific legal and contract requirements including, but not limited to, financial limits, delivery or performance schedule, and all other terms and conditions.
Interact with all levels of management to coordinate service contract changes, provide information to resolve problems and ensure proper contractual analysis and administration of service contracts and agreements.
Provide support to operations personnel with regard to service contract matters.
Maintain updated service contract information database and generate pertinent information for regular and special reports; update with all new contracts, amendments, renewals, extensions, terminations and any other contract activity.
Assist buyers during the sourcing process by providing templates and expertise related to all contract matters.
Prepare and issue contract authorization summaries.
Ensure compliance with contract approval process and adherence to contract schedule.
As needed, provide training to all levels of company personnel in service contract matters.
With some assistance, review, analyze and interpret contract terms.
Provide technical input to assist in development of project planning.
Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, or related field; or equivalent work experience. (Typically six years of related, progressive work experience would be needed for candidates applying for this position who do not possess a Bachelor's degree).
Five or more years of related experience working with service contracts or legal documents.
Strong administrative capabilities and an understanding of the contracting process are required.
General understanding of contract terms and conditions.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to redline agreements and utilize protection and comparison functions of Microsoft Word.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively contribute in this work environment.
Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be able to interact with multiple levels of business and technical personnel and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills in order to recognize and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently; strong attention to detail.
