Job Summary
The AVP, PLADS Technology Delivery is responsible for the management and strategy of PLADS Technology Delivery. This position will manage our technology delivery workstreams and will be accountable for the development of roadmaps, communication of timelines to stakeholders, and overall delivery. This position collaborates with PLADS Stakeholders, business partners, senior leadership, and other Technical Leads and Architecture resources within Aflac to position our solutions for immediate and future growth and success in meeting our business goals and objectives. This position will work with Technical Operations to set policies, standards, and governance objectives for delivery throughout the PLADS organization. This position will also work with other senior technology leadership in developing and delivering PLADS technology strategy
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and Delivers a Delivery Strategy and Roadmap for internal stakeholders
Manages multiple AGILE teams with direct management/department responsibilities of both supervisors and individual contributors within the organization
Works collaboratively with leadership from various divisions and functions to identify underlying challenges, dynamics, and opportunities to deliver growth and profitability
Collaborates closely with other leaders across the organization to implement new tools and processes to increase communication and visibility
Communicates decisions and instructions to executive management, data owners, and end users to minimize disruption to business operations
Builds the technology delivery program capabilities with a focus on automation and scaling
Provides input on budget development, staff allocations and recommendations for effective and efficient use of resources
Develops standards and operational procedures that support current and future operational needs
Plans, executes, and delivers multiple simultaneous projects across various domains within Infrastructure
Works across segments/business functions to ensure alignment with strategic vision and implementation plans
Ensures activities are compliant with existing AFLAC policies and strategies
Contributes to continuous improvement initiatives to improve delivery experiences
Demonstrates Leadership Behaviors in all actions and ways of working and coaches the teams on these behaviors
Establishes a first-class data technology and strategy practice that brings unique value to AFLAC
Analyzes industry and market trends to determine impact on business goals and objectives
Performs other related duties as required
Education & Experience Required
- Bachelors Degree In Business or a related field
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Technology
- Minimum 5 years' leadership experience managing technology delivery
- Minimum 5 years' experience with the MuleSoft Anypoint platform
- Minimum 3 years' experience in API design (using RAML or OpenAPI Specification), deployment and life-cycle management in Anypoint API Manager
Education & Experience Preferred
- Master's Degree In Business Administration or a related field
- Group Insurance Experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
