Description

Job Summary

The Program Delivery Manager is responsible for the delivery of all projects and work efforts for the defined program space. This includes the planning and prioritization of work and managing program level stakeholder engagement. The Program Delivery Manager should ensure that all guidelines and documented processes are followed through the project lifecycle. The Program Delivery Manager will manage, lead, and develop teams that consist of Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers and Quality Assurance resources. The Program Delivery Manager will also be responsible for managing team capacity, project assignments, and overall team cohesion and performance.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Directly manages the resources within the team

  • Acts as a champion and sponsor of the defined program space for the technology organization

  • Manages program level governance, facilitating prioritization with business stakeholders

  • Delivers on commitments within resource and budget constraints

  • Ensures that appropriate Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes are followed while delivering on commitments

  • Plans and manages resource assignments within the Delivery Team in support of project demand and development objectives

  • Manages the resolution of issues within the delivery team and serves as an escalation point for project issues
  • Performs resource planning based on program needs and capacity

  • Performs other related duties as required

    Education

    Bachelors Degree In Computer Science or a related field

    Experience

    • 5+ years of Program or Project Management or equivalent experience
    • 5+ years experience in Life, Absence and/or Disability industry
    • 5+ years experience working as part of an Agile team
    • 4 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity in a complex business environment involving multiple business issues

    Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
