Job Summary

Work as the interface with assigned areas of Digital Services for the purpose of business-digital strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management. Proactively serves as a œtrusted advisor, and function as a key point of contact key stakeholders. Will represent Digital Services to Aflac by promoting the vision, value, services, and capabilities. Acts as advocates on behalf of business stakeholders to ensure digital services meet their business priorities and needs.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborates with assigned business unit(s) to assess information technology needs, define requirements, and develop solutions; works with stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategies

Leads stakeholder business planning and strategy meetings

Assists with business leadership priorities of Digital Services projects and requests

May participate in and contribute to business client leadership meetings

Participates in short- and long-term strategic planning sessions with clients to improve business processes

Communicates with stakeholders, service delivery teams, and other stakeholders to ensure awareness of progress, risks, and results

Understands and anticipates direction of the business area(s)/unit(s) identifies opportunities and makes recommendations to support the assigned business area(s)/unit(s) desired future state.

Ensures the oversight for resolution of escalated issues

Works with stakeholders and service delivery teams to cultivate appropriate solution required to meet business goals

Promotes business knowledge of process, roles, and procedures to ensure the best possible outcome

Acts as an advocate for business requirements and required results

Identifies and mitigates potential problems and conflicts with Service delivery

Leads and may champion change management activities (i.e., frequent communication to staff and clients about the change and the impact of the change, advocacy, coaching, and mitigation of resistance to minimize disruption and achieve desired results from initiatives that are triggered/enabled by technology)

Provides strategic consultation to business and Digital Services teams, may participate in quality reviews, and provides feedback sessions

Ensures solutions support the organization's short-term and long-term business goals/strategy and aligns with digital strategy

Analyzes technology trends to determine impact to the achievement of business goals

May develop and advocate recommendations for solution options in conjunction with Technical Consultants or Architects

Performs other duties as required

Professional - Education & Experience

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology or a related field, Six or more years of project management, business analysis, solutions management in an IT environment, Experience successfully leading large, complex projects in business or IT roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Understanding of the Insurance Industry

  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience in leadership and negotiation

  • In-depth knowledge of the business, business requirements analysis and processes
