Position Summary

Leads the digital organization in the development of solutions for the business and customers; develops long-range visionary strategic plans; analyzes trends in technology; analyzes the impact of emerging technologies on the business and provides assessments and solutions to address technology and business issues; leads the financial resources of the company while ensuring the development of high-quality, low-cost technology solutions aligned with customer and business needs and establishes relationships with employees and key stakeholders (internal and external).


  • Leads initiatives that incorporate proactive and innovative solutions to addressing business challenges and achieving organizational goals and objectives; integrates perspective of the initiatives from definition through benefit realization

  • Creates an integrated information technology strategy/plan to support multiple business unit strategies, which may include analyzing new emerging technologies and translating implications of the new technology into an effective integrated IT strategy for multiple business units

  • Leads the development and implementation of plans for achieving business objectives; works with all relevant areas in order to create an integrated, cohesive strategy (including risks and dependencies); directs the process of documenting communication and digital transformation plans

  • Leads change management activities (i.e., frequent communication to staff and clients about the change and the impact of the change, advocacy, coaching, and mitigation of resistance to minimize disruption and achieve desired results from initiatives that are triggered/enabled by technology)

  • Ensures the right initiatives are undertaken and the benefits are being fully realized throughout the enterprise; Ensures alignment with organizational strategy; provides strategic leadership through facilitating or advising strategic development while demonstrating foresight and conceptual capability

  • Drives the governance framework and provides the processes, structures, and tools across the enterprise. Balances conflicting demands between initiatives and projects, and directs resources so as to achieve the benefits identified


  • Ensures accountability and enables the predictability of the outcomes of each initiative

  • Ensures that each initiative is well designed and implemented; provides expert advice and coaching to service delivery teams to ensure best-practice execution and risk mitigation

  • Manages the progress and evaluates assigned initiatives through the change and adoption life cycle;
    coordinates with various departments to identify strategic, technical, and procedural requirements
    needed; directs the preparation of requirements defining project scope, features, functionality, and

  • Engage with the appropriate business stakeholders are engaged appropriately; directs the assessment of enterprise organizational and change readiness to identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance and manages the development of specific mitigation plans; oversees the planning and engagement of stakeholder, leadership alignment, impact analysis, learning/training, communications, business readiness, deployment, reinforcement and adoption measurement of target audience

  • Partners with key decision makers across the organization; establishes two-way communications with all impacted and interested parties regarding digital transformation and ensures that feedback is effectively gathered and addressed; provides stakeholder feedback/perspective to key leadership individuals and team members

  • Leads the evaluation and success of strategic initiatives; oversees the development of action plans to address performance gaps

  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Qualifications

    Bachelors Degree in  Business Administration, Computer Science, Information systems or a related field, Eight or more years of professional, job-related work experience in business operations, project management, business modeling concepts, and/or business process development, 5 years of leadership/managerial experience, Experience in directing/managing strategic initiatives and the flexibility to deal with people at a variety of levels. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


    "Preferred" Masters Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information systems or a related field


    Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Broad knowledge of management concepts, operating principles, and methodologies applicable to
    client relationship management, and risk management ; a high degree of skill in applying this
    knowledge to the analysis and resolution of very complex or sensitive operational issues; ability to
    apply new developments and methodologies to direct the improvement in efficiencies


  • Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and industry requirements, standard
    concepts, practices, and procedures as they relate to the insurance industry


  • Knowledge of budgeting and expense control to plan, implement, and minimize funds expenditure
    while maintaining and improving quality standards; the ability to calculate the value/benefits that
    future state processes will bring to the business


  • Strong project management, leadership, and practice development skills


  • Must have a certification or working knowledge of the LEAN process
