The GL&D Worksite Marketing Consultant is responsible for assisting with developing a product marketing strategy and fully executing all product marketing functions for Group Life & Disability lines of business.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities (Principal Duties and Responsibilities)

 

In alignment with market/channel strategies, develops and negotiates product marketing strategies to meet the growth and retention objectives of Group Life & Disability

 

Works with internal/external key stakeholders (e.g. Product Manager for existing products, Product Developers for new products/launches, and clients); responsible for identifying gaps or opportunities in product marketing and creating optimal product positioning for three or more product lines (per Divisional scorecards and company goals)

 

Reviews and approves all product marketing creative including direct marketing and other collateral

 

Responsible for product campaign strategy, including prioritization and cadence aligned to the goals of market segment leaders

 

Assists Product Development with go-to-market strategy for launching new products to key audiences, employees, employers, and field force

 

Works cross-functionally with Sales, IT, Internal Operations, Training, and other functions as needed to provide product marketing expertise in creating and implementing new systems, programs, initiatives, and training for new market segments and channels

 

Analyzes and completes reports as needed related to marketing activity; conducts proactive audits to identify trends and process improvements

 

Leads negotiation and development of value propositions for new marketing segments

 

Takes part in key client meetings, finalist presentations, and equivalent meetings; travels to clients as needed to ensure the delivery of the distinctive, superior, responsive, and consistent service experience
(travel is generally less than 50%)

Qualifications

Qualifications (Education & Experience and Job Knowledge & Skills)

 

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, 

5+ years of Large Group Life and Disability Benefits 

 

Job Knowledge & Skills

Ability to set a clear product marketing strategy in alignment with market strategies, collaborating with Product Development, Marketing Communications and other areas to implement

 

Strong project management skills and proven ability to manage multiple diverse projects at any given time

 

Product marketing expertise preferred

 

Excellent negotiation, presentation, public speaking, written & verbal communication skills up to the executive level
