Compliance Accountant I


Job Summary

Prepares Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, which can include the quarterly Form 10-Qs, annual Form 10-K, annual Form 11-K, Form 8-Ks, and other reports as needed; prepares Tokyo Stock Exchange filings, which can include the quarterly Form 9-3 and the annual Form 8; and prepares financial reports for filings with other regulatory bodies as needed


Principal Duties & Responsibilities

Creates and maintains regulatory filings within the Workiva financial reporting application


Coordinates with various business units to gather information needed for filings and completes corresponding work-paper preparation


Assists with tagging of financial data for XBRL reporting with the SEC in conjunction with quarterly and annual financial filings


Assists in the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and financial reporting guidance by updating disclosures in external financial filings and notifying various areas of the company when new information needs to be provided by those areas


Assists in analyzing current or proposed U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (U.S. GAAP), Japan Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Japanese GAAP), or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting pronouncements and helps draft new or revised financial reporting disclosures required by those standards
